Software-Defined Radio Platform Project
Vanteon has engaged in its first project that leverages the WaveCaster™ WC1 Software-Defined Radio platform. Our client came to us with a need to replace an existing product suffering component obsolescence issues with an extensible radio architecture that can be used across a multitude of products. They require an implementation of a proprietary wireless communications protocol that's used for the collection of data from multiple devices located at distances of up to several miles away. By leveraging Vanteon's WC1 IP we were able to shave off several months of development time and cost when compared to a clean sheet design. Vanteon does not charge qualified clients for IP leveraged from its Software-Defined Radio platforms. This model benefits our clients greatly because it truly saves them development costs, reduces their time to market and gives them a trusted architecture that can be reused in future products.
