Department: Hardware and Embedded Reports To: Engineering Resource Manager FLSA Status: Exempt-Professional
Job Summary:
Responsible for hardware design and development with little supervision. Experience required in architecture and design of digital and analog hardware.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Project technical guidance and leadership
• Develop detailed designs
• Perform digital system architecture development & partitioning
• Perform digital FPGA detailed logic design
• Analog system architecture, design, development
• Interface with embedded software engineers
• Provide sales support
Education and Prior Work Experience:
• BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years experience
• U.S. Citizenship Required
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
• Design for Testability and Manufacturing
• System and Timing Analysis
• Signal Integrity
• SPICE
• Switching power supplies
• FPGA design experience (100K+ Gates) a plus
• Understanding high-speed PCB design and EMC compliance issues
• VHDL/Verilog simulation ( Modelsim)
• Excellent analytical and communication skills

Job Summary:
Work as a member of a team to develop hardware designs. Leverage and build on prior experience with system architecture and design of digital hardware including embedded RISC/CISC processors and high speed memory systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement embedded software solutions, device drivers and board support packages
• Investigate and propose project-related technologies to meet requirements
• Provide project estimates and technical support for the Sales Process
• Ability to rapidly understand large existing code bases
• Create technical documentation including Software Requirements Specifications, Design Documents, and development notes.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers in design and integration efforts.
Education and Prior Work Experience:
• BS EE/CE/CS
• 3-5 years experience in embedded systems software
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
• Experience in real-time embedded systems software development including: RTOSs, multi-threaded programming, distributed design, device drivers, hardware diagnostics, BIOS, interrupt handling and boot loader development.
• Proficiency with C, C++, and ability to work with assembly level for embedded microprocessors and/or DSPs
• Experience using embedded tools such as compilers, debuggers, ICE, Emulators
• Interface hardware/software design experience
• Proven track record of successful product completion and deployment
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Highly motivated, well organized self starter
Desired Skills:
• VxWorks software development
• Linux kernel and application software development
• Windows WDK and KMDF driver development
• RTOS and microcontroller software development
• Advanced knowledge of C/C++ and object oriented design approaches to reusable software systems design

Job Summary:
Responsible for RF and Microwave circuit design, analysis and simulation for wireless communications systems in the 125 KHz to 6 GHz frequency bands.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• RF design simulations, design specifications, schematics, and board layouts.
• Participates in the product design, integration, and testing.
• Provide project estimates and technical support for the sales process.
• Mentor junior-level embedded engineers.
Education and Prior Work Experience:
• BS EE, MS preferred
• 10+ years experience in RF design and development.
• U.S. Citizenship required. Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
• Digital communications and RF systems experience, including link margin/system gain analysis.
• Microstrip/Stripline design.
• Experience with RF microwave or analog circuit design software: Genesys, Momentum, Spectrasys, SPICE.
• Experience designing VHF/UHF/microwave filters, amplifiers, oscillators, and mixers.
• Experience using signal generators, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
• Understanding of nonlinear circuits, measurements, and simulation techniques.
• Synthesizer design.
