RF System Engineer

Job Summary:
Responsible for system design for embedded products covering multiple disciplines but focused primarily in the area of RF, signal processing and wireless system design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Key technical interface with potential customers to promote Vanteon services
• Responsible to solicit and document use cases and requirements from newly engaged customers
• The interface between sales and engineering to drive cost and schedule estimates for new products
• Analyzing, documenting, and communicating system tradeoffs for new product development
• Performing system design tasks for new products such as architecture selection
• RF system design: Link budget analysis, cascade analysis, signal processing, etc.
• Analog circuit design: Opamps, BJTs, FETs, diodes, analog signal conditioning

General Description of Duties:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for broadening Vanteon’s client base by acquiring new clients. Principal Embedded Software Engineer

• Provide training and mentoring to junior level software engineers
• Contribute to software industry through publishing papers and presenting at seminars

Education and Prior Work Experience:
• BS EE/CE/CS/SE, MS Preferred
• 10+ years experience in embedded systems software

Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
• Experience in real-time embedded systems software development including: RTOSs, multi-threaded programming, distributed design, device drivers, hardware diagnostics, BIOS, interrupt handling and boot loader development.
• Proficiency in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) including sampling theory, digital filtering, Fourier analysis and MODEM design.
